It has been well known that the criminal interruption of pregnancy is associated with a high morbidity risk during maternal life. Delayed complications following abortions are considerable although it cannot be assessed statistically. There is clear evidence from other countries that sequelae such as sterility, menorrhagia, recurrent abortion, and premature labour are quite common. At the individual level patient is uncomfortable and miserable as a result of chronic gynaecological illness following abortion. Her capacity to carry out houschold chores become reduced. This would adversely affect the family level when she become1ess efficient and able to deal with the children and family affairs. Marital disharmony may be the problem resulting from chronic pelvic pain and dyspareunia. At the community level evidence have shown that there is high foetal wastage in subsequent pregnancies following abortion. Thus it is responsible for the rise in perinatal and neonatal death rates in the community. At the national level the cost of treatment of abortion and its immediate complications and late sequelae is considerable. Therefore ways and means of reducing abortion rate will have to be considered. Prevention and efficient management of early and late complications of abortion would greatly decrease the chronic gynaecological illness and foetal wastage following antecedent abortion.Item Abortion. magnitude of problem of abortion in the cmmunity(1980-12-01) Tin Tin HmunItem Abortion. magnitude of the problem of abortion in the hospitals(1980-12-01) Mya MyaItem Abortion. prevention of abortion(1980-12-01) Myint Maung MaungItem Abortion. septic abortion(1980-12-01) Khin Nyunt; Mya Sann AyeItem Acquired immune deficiency syndrome a review article(1986-01-01) Myo Thwe; Soe AungItem Acture intestinal obstruction(1967-01-01) Kyaw MaungItem Acute and chronic bacillary dysentery and chronic ulcerative colitis(1955-01-01) Felsen, Joseph; Wolarsky, WilliamThe rapidly increasing incidence of acute bacillary dysentery in the United States is discussed, and evidence is presented that indicates a relationship between acute bacillary dysentery, chronic ulcerative colitis, and ileitis. The more recent studies in the epidemiology, bacteriology, pathology, and clinical aspects of these diseases indicate the strong probability that the ideal therapy of ulcerative colitis and ileitis is the prevention of acute bacillary dysentery.Item Acute dirrhoeal disease in children ward North Okkalapa General Hospital(1980-01-01) Soe Soe AyeItem Acute excitement in Rangoon Psychiatric Hospital(1983-01-01) Tin Tin OoItem Acute haematogenous osteomyelitis(1970-07-01) Somerville, E.WItem Acute heroin toxicity in Rangoon General Hospital(1982-01-01) Ni Le Win; Khin Ye Myint; Tin May NyuntItem Acute infection of the ear(1961-07-01) Dey, C.CItem Acute infection of the genito-urinary tract(1961-07-01) Kyaw ThanItem Acute infective hepatitis(1955-07-01) Sen, SItem Acute leukemia in Rangoon Children Hospital(1978-01-01) Soe Soe Aye
