All patientswere thoroughly monitored postoperatively for its morbidity andsurgical outcome. Results: Although complications are inevitable in a percentageof patients, it is good postoperative care and monitoring thatdetermines the success or failure of the reconstruction andalso permits early salvage of a failing flap. Conclusion: Teamwork and cooperation among members ofthe reconstructive team are critical.
