Abstract
The objective is to describe ?ve uncommon cases of Achalasia. This is primarily esophageal motor disorder of unknown etiology. Pathologically in?ammation surrounds the ganglionic cells. Five children presented with complaints of chronic cough, regurgitation after each meals and signi?cant weight loss over months to years. With the help of investigations like HRCT, Endoscopy & Barium swallow, diagnosis of Achalasia is con?rmed and treated appropriately through pneumatic dilatation of LES of two patients out of ?ve patients .
