Some of the Thai people, espectially in the north eastern part of the country, have flat noses, saddle noses or a low profile nose. Some of these noses are not only flat but also present wide or broad nasal bone base. If we look at the side view or profile of the nose we might see only some degree of depression. In the front view we might not see or it is hard to see the elevation of the dridge of the nose. In these cases if augmentation is to be done alone it may not correct the problem. My precedure to correct this defect by osteotomy for narrowing the broad nasal bone, augmentation by using L-shape columella strut extended silicone nasal prosthesis. I have done this procedure over 300 cases in the past seven years with satisfactory results.en_US
