Abstract
A case of juvenile mitral stenosis in a 5 and half years old boy has been reported from the children ward I, North Okkalapa General Hospital, So far, the youngest case reported by Dr. Shwe Tin, RGH, from the mitral valvotomized patients, is younger age group, and need for diligent treatment of streptococcal pharyngitis, particularly in the under fives for the prevention of Rheumatic fever, bearing in mind the quick development of Rheumatic endocarditis, which is a threat for them even in their early years of their lives, are the high-lights of this presentation
