dc.description.abstractA series of heterocyclic schiff bases have been synthesised by the condensation of 2-amino-4,6- dimethyl benzothiazole and selected heterocyclic α- hydroxy aldehyde and α-hydroxy ketones. The structures of the products were confirmed by spectral analysis (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and Mass). All the newly synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activity against different fungal and bacterial strains.en_US
