dc.description.abstractObjectives:Tocheckthefeasibilityofusingmobilephone-basedmicroscopyforvarioustypesof humanhistopatho-logical sampleinvestigations. Methodology:Afeasibilitystudywas performed byimagingseveralhistopathologicalsampleswithonenoveltypeofmicroscope“Foldscope” and imagecomparedwithaconventionalmicroscopeinthelaboratory facility.Theimageacquired frombothsourceswereeditedfurther andputtogether for comparison.Results:Mobilephone-basedmicroscopeacquiredimageswere observedandcomparedwithaconventionalmi-croscope andfoundmorphology ofthetissuesectionsweresignificantly similarasofconventionallight microscopeimages.Conclusion:By comparingtheimageofsomenon-humanhistopathological sample,itcouldbestatedthatthismethodisalsofeasiblefor humanhistopathologicalsample investigations, especiallyin thelow resourceareaor in caseofemergencysituations.en_US
