This study investigates the relationship between anthropometric measurements—specifically hip circumference (HC), waist circumference (WC), and the waist-hip ratio (WHR)—and the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in a North Indian population. A total of 100 participants were recruited, comprising both diabetic and non-diabetic individuals. Measurements of HC, WC, and WHR were taken, and participants underwent HbA1C. The results revealed significant differences in these measurements between diabetic and non-diabetic groups. Our findings suggest that WHR, in particular, is a robust marker for predicting T2DM risk in this demographic, underscoring the importance of anthropometric screening in diabetes prevention strategies.en_US
