Abstract
Acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP) is a rare life-threatening complication of pregnancy. It usually occurs in late third trimester.
There is usually severe liver dysfunction with hypofibrinogenemia, hypoalbuminemia, hypocholesterolemia and prolonged
clotting times. The most critical component of caring for a woman with AFLP is the delivery of her fetus.
