Oral hemangiomas and pyogenic granuloma are common benign lesions of oral mucosa. Pyogenic granuloma occurs mainly in women with gingiva being the preferred site while hemangiomas occur in lips and tongue with very rare occurrence in palatal areas. Hemangiomas are mostly seen in infants. The clinical diagnosis of these lesions still throws a challenge to the dental professionals as they can mimic oral carcinomas. The purpose of this article is to report a rare case of capillary hemangioma occurring on the junction of the hard and soft palate of a male which was clinically diagnosed as a pyogenic granuloma.en_US
