Effect of sugars, 6-benzyladenine and genotype on shoot regeneration was studied. Highest percentage of shoot regeneration (80 +/- 6) was obtained with genotype S799 on medium containing glucose and 8.9 microM 6-benzyladenine. Genotypes Mandalaya and MIHP, having thicker leaves with waxy cuticle, showed poorer regeneration ability than S799 and Sujanpur-5, which have thinner leaves and cuticle. Histological studies revealed that shoots regenerated from sub-epidermal cells.Item Profile of pediatric dengue cases from a tertiary care hospital in Kolkata.(2007-10-01) Basu, M; Dasgupta, M K; Kundu, T K; Sengupta, B; De, G K; Roy, B NA study was conducted on the 52 serologically positive cases of dengue, admitted to the Dept. of Paediatrics, R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital, from an outbreak in Kolkata. The most unusual feature observed in this study was that the rash in some cases was urticarial and intensely pruritic. The shock appeared early in the course of the disease and it was less commonly associated with bleeding (22%). One out of three dengue cases was a severe disease. It was not possible to predict a severe disease from the early symptomatology.Item Public relations in hospitals.(1983-10-01) Chandra, A K; Roy, B NItem Residency programme in cardiothoracic surgery: problems and solutions.(1995-07-01) Das, A K; Roy, B NItem Selective right ventricular angiography as a diagnostic aid of right ventricular outflow tract obstruction.(1969-01-16) Kundu, R N; Kar, C C; Roy, B N; Sripad, S; Sen Gupta, S MItem Trigeminal neurofibroma.(1972-05-16) Roy, B N; Dasgupta, S
