Item Acute renal failure due to bilateral renal lymphoma.(1995-10-01) Tripathi, B K; Jain, N; Pandey, J; Talib, V HItem A Bibliometric Analysis of Literature on Covid-19 And Mental Health(Medsci Publications, 2022-09) Rani, P; Yadav, A; Kumar, D; Pandey, J; Gull, M; Ansari, MA; Ghosh, S; Sahni, B.Purpose: The present study analyzed the existing literature related to COVID 19 and Mental Health by using the technique of bibliometric analysis which may serve as guide-map for future researchers and policy makers. Method: Bibliometric analysis is conducted in the present study by using various techniques like cita-tion analysis, co-citation analysis, co-occurrence of keywords, thematic mapping by using visualization of similarities (VOS) viewer open-source software and R-based bibliometrix. Results: The study highlighted the most significant journals, authors, co-cited authors, institutions, key-words co-occurrence, and most cited articles in the area of COVID-19 and Mental Health on the basis of bibliometric analysis of 149 studies taken from the database of Scopus for the past three years (2020–first quarter of 2022). Also, authors identified few relevant themes such as Economic Effects of COVID-19, COVID-19 and its Impact on Healthcare workers, COVID-19 and its Impact on Patients and General Population as important emerging key areas for further research. Conclusion: We have highlighted significant citations, co-citations and keywords co-occurrence to summarize the literature. The present bibliometric study convincingly confirms the effect of COVID 19 pandemic on mental health and provides enough evidence to advocate formulation of strategies to tackle mental health issues.Item Blood safety.(1993-04-01) Talib, V H; Verma, S K; Pandey, J; Khurana, S KItem The changing facets of Salmonellosis.(1993-01-01) Talib, V H; Verma, S K; Khurana, S K; Pandey, JItem Chronic lymphocytic leukemia presenting as jaundice.(1998-01-18) Pandey, J; Bhowmik, K THematological and lymphoid malignancies rarely present with manifestations outside these tissues. We report a patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) presenting with jaundice and generalized lymphadenopathy. The liver profile was suggestive of hepatitis; biopsy showed mild cholestasis. The findings suggest paraneoplastic jaundice with CLL.Item Computerisation of blood bank services of a large hospital.(1993-07-01) Pandey, J; Bajpai, D; Khurana, S K; Talib, V HA comprehensive computer aided management scheme for Blood Bank of a large hospital is presented. The hardware requirement and networking pattern are simple flexible and cost effective to suit any kind of needs. Details of the modular software program are discussed. The advantages of the modular program is its flexibility and expandability, to suit not only the needs of a Blood Bank but also the whims and fancies of the personnel working in it. The program is completely portable and operates in an MS DOS environment on a IBM or compatible machine. The solutions are simple and cost-effective, a feature of particular importance to setups which have the technological capability but do not have the economic feasibility. The approach and software features are discussed in detail in order to make it possible for any one to develop similar system if desired.Item Computers in the laboratory.(1993-07-01) Talib, V H; Verma, S K; Pandey, JItem Confidence in fine needle aspiration cytology.(1994-07-01) Talib, V H; Khurana, S K; Pandey, JItem Congenital sulfhemoglobin and transient methemoglobinemia secondary to diarrhoea.(1996-07-01) Pandey, J; Chellani, H; Garg, M; Verma, A; Gupta, K; Talib, V HSulfhemoglobinemia and Methemoglobinemia are common causes of cyanosis arising due to accumulation of abnormal heme pigment. We present an unusual case of congenital sulfhemoglobinemia along with diarrhoea induced methemo-globinemia in a neonate. A high index of suspicion and a proper diagnostic approach is needed to determine the true frequency of their occurrence together.Item Current concepts: tuberculosis and HIV infection.(1993-10-01) Talib, V H; Khurana, S K; Pandey, J; Verma, S KItem Detection and identification of tridemorph fungicide by gas-liquid and thin layer chromatography: A case study.(2009-07) Dhingra, V; Pandey, JTridemorph is a widely used fungicide for crops, and is fairly frequently encountered in forensic toxicology. The aim of this paper is to describe the postmortem changes in a case of death due to tridemorph poisoning, the procedure of extraction from forensic samples, and detection and identification by thin layer and gas-liquid chromatography using a new solvent system and spray reagent, on the basis of an actual case of tridemorph fungicide exposure death.Item Diagnosis of malaria--an overview.(1995-10-01) Pandey, J; Talib, V H; Ranga, S; Gulati, IItem Diagnostic value of maternal serum alpha fetoprotein for predicting pregnancy outcome in high risk pregnancies: an epidemiological perspective.(1993-04-01) Pandey, J; Talib, V H; Loganey, D; Yadav, SThis study was conducted on high risk pregnancies, between 6-40 weeks of gestation, to evaluate the difference in maternal serum alphafetoprotein (MSAFP) levels in normal and abnormal pregnancies. It's predictive value for pregnancy outcome was calculated. Age and parity matched, normal pregnant women with normal pregnancy outcome were taken as controls. It was determined that the overall sensitivity (75.6%) and specificity (83.7%) was not very good for diagnostic purposes. On the contrary in patients with neural tube defects, congenital anomalies, early pregnancy complications leading to fetal death, still birth, neonatal deaths, Rh incompatibility and preterm deliveries the specificity was (96%-100%), due to very few false positives but sensitivity was comparatively low (75%-89%) due to many false negatives. As a result the predictive value of a negative test in these conditions was very high (80%-100%), though that of a positive test was comparatively low (60%-89%). This establishes a diagnostic value of MSAFP, especially in high risk pregnancies as opposed to its use as a screening test for all pregnancies. This is of special value for a poor country like India, where it is not possible to screen total pregnant population due to economic and logistic reasons.Item Evaluation of safety of oral vitamin 'A' megadose co-administered with measles vaccination.(2000-12-19) Arya, S; Chellani, H; Pandey, JItem Evaluation of two techniques (RPHA and latex agglutination) for use as a screening tool for HBsAg.(1994-10-01) Ranga, S; Pandey, J; Talib, V HRPHA and latex agglutination are two cost effective techniques available for HBsAg screening in our country. Most of the blood banks and other clinical laboratories use RPHA technique or latex agglutination test for screening of donors or patients positive for Hepatitis B surface Ag (HBsAg). All the reagent kits available in the Indian market do not give the ranges of specificity, sensitivity and predictive values for the particular test. Also no data is available if they were tested on Asian sera. Therefore it was decided to evaluated the two most often used techniques RPHA and latex agglutination for their sensitivities and efficacy as a screening test. Our results indicate that though RPHA may be used in a diagnostic set up, it is a poor screening tool as it gives a fairly large number of false negatives and has a low sensitivity. Latex agglutination on the other hand, does not give any false negative results and is recommended for preliminary screening, wherever cost is a constraint. The sera with positive results should be subsequently tested by EIA to rule out the false positive results.Item Expert systems for interpretive diagnosis in pathology.(1993-07-01) Pandey, J; Talib, V HItem Flow cytometry in clinical pathology: theory and practice of looking beyond morphology.(1994-04-01) Pandey, J; Talib, V HItem Immuno-diagnostics: the technology of tomorrow.(1994-01-01) Talib, V H; Pandey, J; Verma, S KItem The influence of catchment on chemical and biological characteristics of two freshwater tropical lakes of southern Rajasthan.(2004-01-12) Pandey, J; Verma, AnuyaThe effects of catchment characteristics on chemical and biological properties of two freshwater tropical lakes of Udaipur, Rajasthan were investigated.
