    Epidemiologic differences in the site and type of fractures within different populations arise due to inherent differences in the populations, their culture practices and lifestyles.Through this study, we aim to provide data that may help to update the demographic information of patients that are diagnosed with tibial fractures in terms of the frequency of such injuries, mechanism of injury, fracture patterns and sites and the surgical procedure involved in their care.

    A Study Of Head Injury Patients Admitted In The Emergency Room

    Background: Head injury is one of themost frequent presentation of patients in emergency department. Emergency physicians are involved intriage, assessment, investigation and early management of these patients toimprovemortality, disability rates, outcome and survival benefitto thepatient, their family and society.Aims and objectives: To study the patients with head injury in view of Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS), presenting symptoms, CT(Computed Tomography) scan findings, severity, associated injuries, dispositionand outcome in emergency room.Materials and method: This observational study included200 patients above 15years of age, admittedto the emergency roomwith head injury.Data was recorded in preformed patient’s record form. Data was analyzed by Microsoftoffice 2010 and help of statistician was taken as and when required.
