These patients were in the age group of 17-44 years. These patients were followed up regularly. Results showed significant improvement when peeling was done with 52.5% glycolic acid for 3 minutes in melasma, 70% glycolic acid for 2 minutes in superficial post acne scarring.Item Congenital melanocytic nevus studded with strawberry haemangioma on the scalp.(2003-01-24) Mahajan, B B; Pall, A; Gupta, R RA six-month-old male infant presented with congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN) studded with strawberry haemangioma on the right side of scalp since birth. The case is being reported for its rare occurrence.Item Conservative management of exomphalos major.(1973-04-01) Merwaha, D C; Gupta, R L; Gupta, R R; Mullick, R NItem Direct-reading normograms for systolic time intervals (S.T.I.).(1980-07-01) Srivastava, S C; Gupta, R RItem Effect of blood transfusion upon myocardial contractile function in chronic severe anaemia--a study of systolic time intervals (STIs).(1983-03-01) Gupta, R R; Srivastava, S CItem Experimental pyelonephritis--a histopathological study of blood borne and ascending patterns of infection.(1975-07-01) Prakash, C; Gupta, R RItem Gastric acid state and gastroduodenal changes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.(1987-04-01) Singhal, S K; Puri, D S; Pal, S L; Kashyap, S; Gupta, R RItem Giant hairy 'bathing trunk' naevus with multiple congenital melanocytic naevi.(2002-11-28) Gupta, R R; Puri, K J P S; Sahani, S SA 23-day-old male infant had hairy 'bathing trunk' naevus covering, neck and upper trunk along with multiple congenital melanocytic naevi scattered all over the body.Item Intraoral giant condyloma acuminatum.(2001-09-01) Gupta, R R; Puri, U P; Mahajan, B B; Sahni, S S; Garg, GA case of intraoral giant condyloma acuminatum is reported in a 50- year- old Indian. He did not respond to topical application of podophyllin 20% but responded partially to electric cauterisation. Surgical excision was done to get rid of the warty growth completely. Since there were no skin or genital lesions and no history of marital or extramarital sexual contact the lesion was probably acquired from environmental sources. Nonsexual transmission should be considered especially when the lesions are extragenital.Item Laboratory diagnosis of urinary tract infection--an experimental study.(1974-10-01) Prakash, C; Gupta, R R; Chopra, J SItem Leiomyoma in the first part of duodenum.(1986-01-01) Negi, S C; Sharma, S K; Gupta, R L; Gupta, R R; Goel, AItem Lipid-lowering efficacy of psyllium hydrophilic mucilloid in non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus with hyperlipidaemia.(1994-11-01) Gupta, R R; Agrawal, C G; Singh, G P; Ghatak, AThe effect of the administration of 3.5 g of psyllium husk twice daily for 90 days was investigated in 24 patients of non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) with hyperlipidaemia. After 90 days of treatment, psyllium was withdrawn and the patients were followed up for a further 90 days. Psyllium significantly decreased the levels of total cholesterol (TC; 19.7%), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C; 23.7%), triglycerides (TG; 27.2%) and the ratio of LDL-C to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C; 24.1%) and the lowering was sustained even up to 90 days after cessation of treatment. The level of HDL-C also showed a significant increase of 15.8 per cent but this effect was not sustained after cessation of treatment. The compliance was very good and no adverse effects were observed. This study indicated that psyllium husk is an effective and well tolerated adjunct to diet for the treatment of mild to moderate hyperlipidaemia in NIDDM patients.Item Morbidity studies in families covered by Rural Field Training Centre.(1971-10-01) Gupta, R K; Mishra, V N; Mathur, J S; Gupta, R RItem Normal values and regression equations of systolic time intervals.(1979-07-01) Srivastava, S C; Gupta, R R; Popli, H CItem Pityriasis rosea unilateralis.(2003-01-24) Brar, B K; Pall, A; Gupta, R RThe classical pityriasis rosea presents with erythematous papulosquamous lesions.
