Item Cardiorespiratory responses to steady state in sedentary men 20-39-year-old.(1983-07-01) Jain, A K; Jain, S K; Bhatnagar, O PItem Colonic myoelectrical activity in irritable bowel syndrome before and after treatment.(1988-01-01) Madhu, S V; Vij, J C; Bhatnagar, O P; Krishnamurthy, N; Anand, B S; Chuttani, H KItem Dynamic lung volumes in children with bronchial asthma.(1987-07-01) Sethi, G R; Gupta, A; Bhatnagar, O P; Jain, A KItem Effect of cyproheptadine of flexor reflex in frogs.(1974-10-01) Chakrabarty, A S; Bhatnagar, O P; Chakrabarty, KItem Effect of cyproheptadine on 'insulin effect' of the isolated diaphragm in albino rats.(1973-11-01) Chakrabarty, A S; Bhatnagar, O P; Subramanian, N; Chakrabarty, KItem Effect of hippocampal lesion on estrus cycle and estrus activity in rats.(1980-10-01) Thombre, D P; Srinivasan, V; Murthy, N V; Bhatnagar, O PDorsal hippocampal lesions in adult female rats leads to alteration in the estrus cycle with preponderance of estrus phase. The activity of the animals after the lesion increases, but it remains coupled with post lesion estrus cycle.Item Effect of subdiaphragmatic vagotomy on gastric mucosal polysaccharide content in pylorus ligated albino rats.(1980-06-01) Ganguly, A K; Sathiamoorthy, S S; Bhatnagar, O P; Rao, K SItem The effect of yoga training on neuromuscular excitability and muscular relaxation.(1977-12-01) Bhatnagar, O P; Anantharaman, VItem Effect of yogasanas and pranayamas on blood pressure, pulse rate and some respiratory functions.(1973-07-01) Gopal, K S; Bhatnagar, O P; Subramanian, N; Nishith, S DItem The effect of yogasanas on muscular tone and cardio-respiratory adjustments.(1974-10-01) Gopal, K S; Anantharamn, V; Nishith, S D; Bhatnagar, O PItem Feeding behaviour of cyproheptadine-treated rats.(1974-05-01) Chakrabarty, A S; Bhatnagar, O P; Chakrabarty, KItem Influence of age on residual latency.(1977-04-01) Anantharaman, V; Bhatnagar, O PFrom the conduction studies of ulnar nerve on normal individuals of different age groups and sexes the residual latencies were determined. The age has no influence on the residual latency. But the values of residual latency decreased significantly in the case of females as compared with males.Item Influence of stress on oxygen consumption and rectal temperature in parabiotic albino rats.(1980-04-01) Murthy, N V; Bhatnagar, O P; Thombre, D PStress can alter the functional status of the animal through a chain of complex interactions. In this work, influence of stress on oxygen consumption and rectal temperature was studied in parabiotic albino rats, to show the possibility of involvement of humoral factors. Stress has resulted in fall in rectal temperature and increase or decrease in oxygen consumption even when one animal of the pair was subjected to stress, suggesting involvement of humoral factor(s).Item Influence of Yoga training on thermoregulation.(1978-05-01) Bhatnagar, O P; Ganguly, A K; Anantharaman, VItem Physical working capacity and aerobic work capacity of normal Indian adults.(1980-01-01) Gupta, G D; Nautiyal, A; Chetty, P C; Muralidar, K; Sankaran, K; Bhatnagar, O PItem Placental acetylcholine and toxaemias of pregnancy.(1977-04-01) Murthy, N V; Bhatnagar, O P; Ganguly, A KItem Vagal and adrenal influences on gastric secretion in Shay rats.(1977-01-01) Vasantha Kumar, J; Ganguly, A K; Bhatnagar, O PThe present experiment was planned to assess the role of vagus and adrenals in gastric secretion in the pylorus ligated rats. Vagotomy significantly reduced the volume of gastric juice but the reduction following adrenalectomy was not significant. Both vagotomy and adrenalectomy significantly reduced the free acid, total acid and pepsin contents of the gastric secretion, the reduction being more pronounced following vagotomy.
