The farming of these products is important in controlling the negative effect of environmental degradation. The problem in India is the cost benefit analysis in shifting to organic farming, given the fact that India's farming sector largely consists of marginalized farmers. The government's policies as well as subsidies would definitely give a push towards environmentally friendly practices.
