Paripex - Indian Journal Of Research. 2024 Dec; 13(12): 118-1192250-1991https://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/247887The rising focus on the sustainability has propelled the Electric Vehicles (EVs) into a spotlight, with Electric Two- Wheeler vehicles emerging as a potential alternate to the traditional fuel-based vehicles. The study looks into the challenges, concerns and the factors influencing the purchase decisions of the prospective buyers in Perur Taluk and Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore district, since despite growing awareness, the adoption of Electric Two-Wheeler in the area remains limited. The analysis from the primary data obtained from the respondents reveal key barriers like lack of trust in new technology, high maintenance costs and limited charging facilities. Finding highlights that improved battery life, reduced costs and expansion in charging infrastructure can increase the adoption of EVs.
