We report a case of transient acute renal failure related to rhabdomyolysis and myoglobinuria in a 40 year old man that revealed the diagnosis of hypothyroidism with myopathy. The patient had proximal muscle weakness and tenderness, markedly raised muscle enzymes and deranged renal functions that normalised with thyroid replacement therapy.
