The leafy vedetables which were investigated in this project were gotukola, hata-wariya, kankum, katuru-murunga, kurinnan, mukunuwenna, niviti, sarana and velpenela. All varieties of leafy vegetables were found to contain significan amount of water. Out of the elements investigated (Ca, Cu, Fe,Mg, K, Na, Zn) all leafyvegetables were found to contain high amount of potassium.
