The Indian Journal of Chest Diseases & Allied Sciences. 1990 Jan-Mar; 32(1): 25-7http://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/30143Twenty-five cases of bilateral simultaneous pneumothorax were studied. In children it was mostly postpneumonic, whereas in adults it was tuberculous or traumatic. Prompt intercostal drainage on both the sides supported by antibiotics and/or anti-tubercular drugs, and respiratory physiotherapy was curative on most occasions. The association of bronchopleural fistula or septicaemia worsens the prognosis.engAdolescentAdultChildChild, PreschoolFemaleHumansMaleMiddle AgedPneumothorax --etiologyRespiratory Tract Infections --complicationsThoracic Injuries --complicationsTuberculosis, Pulmonary --complicationsBilateral simultaneous pneumothorax--a study of 25 cases.Journal Article
