Neurology India. 2004 Jun; 52(2): 248-50http://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/120195Subfrontal schwannoma not arising from the cranial nerves are rare tumors. A 19-year-old man presented with a large subfrontal extra-axial enhancing mass with a preoperative diagnosis of skull base meningioma. A subtotal resection of the tumor mass was carried out. Microscopic examination revealed it to be a schwannoma. The residual tumor was treated with fractionated three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D CRT). The rationale of treating with radiotherapy in such cases is analyzed.engAdultBrain Neoplasms --diagnosisCombined Modality TherapyFrontal LobeHumansMagnetic Resonance ImagingMaleNeurilemmoma --diagnosisRadiotherapy, ConformalIntracranial subfrontal schwannoma treated with surgery and 3D conformal radiotherapy.Case Reports
