International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research and Bioscience (IJPRBS). 2019 Dec; 8(6): 1-112277-8713http://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/203798The present study was designed to investigate the anticonvulsant activity of Cowurine betel vine extract in rats. Anticonvulsant activity was performed by using the two modelsMaximal Electric Shock (MES) induced convulsions and Pentylene tetrazole (PTZ) inducedconvulsions. The animals were fed with Cow urine betel vine extract at the dose of 250 and500mg/kg b.w orally for a period of 14 days. The pretreated extract reduced the convulsions ina dose dependent manner which was determined by taking the duration of flexion, extensor, clonus and stupor phase and Percentage of inhibition of seizures relative to controls wascalculated.Anticonvulsant activityMESPTZCow urine betel vine extractEvaluation Of Anticonvulsant Activity Of Cow Urine Betel Vine Extract In MiceJournal ArticleIndiaDepartment of Pharmacology, East West College of Pharmacy, Bangalore-560091, Karnataka, IndiaLecturer, Department of Chemistry, East West First Grade College of Science, Bangalore-560091, Karnataka, India.
