Recent advances in techniques and tools for detection and treatment lead to early diagnosis and increase overall survival. Risk factors of colorectal cancer include advanced age, family history of cancers of the colon, rectum, ovary, endometrial, or stomach. Patients usually present with bowel habit changes or mucous bloody stool. Others may develop acute colonic obstruction or perforation.
