Part I.: The role of soluble vegetative protein in streptomycin production by Streptomyces griseus. Hindustan Antibiotics Bulletin. 1990 Feb-May; 32(1-2): 29-32http://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/2199The soluble vegetative protein was found to enhance the production of streptomycin. It seems to be maintaining a balance between glucose consumption and phosphate utilization. Soluble vegetative protein was found to be the chief source of soluble inorganic phosphate, which when monitored along with dextrose addition boosted streptomycin production considerably.engFermentationPlant Proteins --metabolismStreptomyces griseus --metabolismStreptomycin --biosynthesisSelective strategies for antibiotic fermentation.
