Siriraj Medical Journal, 1995 Sept; 47(9): 808-811.http://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/137870The authors studied retrospectively 347 surgical cases of ocular injuries at the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital between January 1990 and December 1992. 337 cases (97.12%) of ruptured eyeball and 10 cases (2.88%) of non-ruptured eyeball were found. 300 patients (86.46%) were male and 47 (13.54%) were female. Age ranged from 2-73 years, mean 26.90 years. The cases of non-ruptured eyeball were studied according to the causes, 6 cases from working, 2 cases from car accidents and 2 cases from assaults.
