Paraquat poisoning with acute renal failure--a case report. Journal of the Association of Physicians of India. 1989 May; 37(5): 341-2http://imsear.searo.who.int/handle/123456789/89580Paraquat poisoning is relatively rare and is associated with mortality varying from 35 to 50%. A patient who consumed paraquat developed features of non-oliguric acute renal failure and recovered following haemodialysis. Renal biopsy done during the early recovery phase showed features of acute tubulo-interstitial nephritis with no disruption of tubular basement membrane. On recovery the patient had no evidence of proximal renal tubular dysfunction.engAdultHumansKidney Failure, Acute --chemically inducedMaleNephritis, Interstitial --chemically inducedParaquat --poisoningParaquat poisoning with acute renal failure--a case report.Case Reports
