Endoscopy and radiological studies revealed generalized thickening of gastric folds with multiple superficial ulcerations and infiltration of the distal stomach simulating gastric neoplasm. Endoscopic biopsies revealed acute gastritis with foveolar hypertrophy with numerous Helicobacter pylori.
