Despite resolution of acidosis on bicarbonate, she continued to have poor growth and delayed puberty. Investigations revealed autoimmune thyroiditis and celiac disease. Outcome: Levothyroxine and gluten-free diet were initiated. Child gained height and weight and had onset of puberty after gluten withdrawal.
