Abstract
Four cases of fracture femur each presenting its own individual features were described. Frequent failures of management of fracture femur by conservative measures, had been emphasized. the unpredictable failure or success in achieving accurate reduction had been emphasized. Method of selection for appropriate nail with the help of radiologist has been explained. The importance of good anaesthesia with adequate resuscitatory measures at hand were emphasized. The complications that might occur during nailing were illustrated. The advantages of post-operative care and recovery were pointed.
