Abstract
Sterilization and disinfectant are the most important measures to control nosocomial infections. Their indications and instructions must be followed strictly to ensure efficacy. However, other measures should not be neglected. They include proper hospital planning, aseptic techniques, antimicrobial treatment, surveillance, guidelines for various procedure, and education of health personnel.
